Retention and security
Routine enquiries are retained while useful for communication and fraud prevention. Transaction records may be kept longer for accounting, legal and dispute purposes. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet system is absolutely secure.
When information is no longer required, it may be deleted or de-identified subject to backup cycles and records that must be preserved. Email and messaging copies may remain with the relevant provider.
